Deanna Robinson-EA

I grew up in Innisfil, ON and then attended Georgian College in Orillia where I completed my Developmental Service Worker Diploma. While working in various group homes supporting adults with Developmental Disabilities, I completed a Post-Graduate Certificate in Autism & Behavioural Science through Algonquin College. I moved onto working with children with Autism and ran my own business providing Intensive Behavioural Interventions in a home-based environment within the Simcoe County Region.

After meeting my husband in 2010, we moved to Parry Sound, ON. I worked as a Senior Therapist and Instructor Therapist within their Autism Intervention Program for several years, and then moved onto working as a Behaviour Communication Therapist and consulted with families to help develop behaviour goals and strategies. I also have experience within the school environment as a Supply Educational Assistant for the Near North District School Board.

I was then blessed to work for Community Living Parry Sound where I had a variety of positions from working in their Residential Program, Supported Independent Living Program, Foundations Program & their Children & Youth Program as a Transitional Aged Youth Worker. After welcoming our oldest daughter, I shifted to staying home to care for our now three children while making the move to Orillia, which also led us to OCS where our kids now attend.

It has been such an incredible blessing being part of the OCS Community as a parent and I am so excited to be joining the OCS Team as an Educational Assistant. I feel honoured that I get to help be a part of the student’s spiritual growth and how God is working in their lives.

My younger brother had a developmental disability and he truly inspired me to enter the developmental field. It is my passion to support students to reach their full potential both spiritually and academically!
