Sarah Smith - Student Support Services
I had the pleasure of growing up in a strong Christian home in the Ottawa area where I attended Christian elementary and high schools. Some of my hobbies include reading, playing piano, and spending time outdoors. I felt God’s calling to become a teacher and went to Redeemer University to earn my Bachelor of Arts degree with Honours English and Bachelor of Education. My husband and I moved to Barrie for our teaching jobs, and I also had the privilege of taking extra training with the National Institute for Learning Development to become an Educational Therapist. When we had our children, we decided to move to Orillia. We have been incredibly blessed by Orillia Christian School where our 3 children attend and I am pleased to be part of the loving and supportive teaching staff. My passion is to assist children discover the gift of reading and equip them with the necessary skills to thrive in their independent work and engage in the classroom. Working with young children is an absolute joy and I am grateful for every opportunity to witness them discover their God-given gifts.
