Tamara Kloosterman - Grade 2/3
It is such a wonderful opportunity to be a part of Chrisitan education. Previously, I have been teaching at Barrie's christian school and now I am feeling blessed to be a part of the team in Orillia! After high school I received my degree in English Literature from Redeemer University and then went on to do my Bachelor of Education at Brock. With the formal training completed, I returned to Barrie, without much of a plan, but God knew what He was doing. Soon after being in town I met my now husband. I was hired to teach around the same time we were engaged, God is good! We have raised our three children while I continued to teach part-time. We were able to send our children to christian elementary school where they made strong friendships with fellow believers. What a gift! Each summer we camp and thoroughly enjoy spending time in the beauty of Northern Ontario along with other families from our church. We have come to value fellowship and christian community. I am humbled to be on staff at OCS where God's truth will surround us and where we will daily be reminded that we are part of the family of God. God's faithfulness has been a strong anchor throughout my life and it is my joy to share His love with my students as we work on building relationships and fostering an excitement in learning about God's creation, in learning God's holy Word, and in learning about our fellow classmates!
